Have you ever thought of moving into the dorm? It would cost you a lot less then 1500 a month in rent which I am sure no college student wants to pay. (Unless you want to find 5 roommates to split the cost that is.) Once you move out you won't have time for yourself anyways because you will end up working two full time jobs to pay for your apartment on top of going to school. Social life? Not gonna happen. Think this through carefully before you decide. Also, looking for a cheaper place could help. Even if it isn't the nicest place you can find, right now your main concern should be your education. And that might mean moving out and working your butt off to do it. You aren't the only one in this situation trust me. It is hard work. If you want a free ride then you need to stay living with your parents and deal with it. I am a firm beleiver that as long as my kid lives under my roof my rules apply no matter what. I am sure your parents feel the same way. I still think moving on campus might help solve a lot of your issues, especially if you are getting enough grants, loans, whatever to pay for school. You do not want to be independant of your family? Then don't wait for them to get you a car, don't wait for them put you through school, etc. Get out there and do it on your own, show them and yourself you are quite capable of doing so.

So if you only work in the summer how are you going to buy a car ? Living on your own is more expensive than you realize. If your concerned with things getting in the way of school work then moving out is the last thing you should do. You will have to work full time and worry about ends meet. At your age your not going to get a very high paying job. Stay at home till your done with school.

A summer job is not going to pay the rent, car payment, and insurance during the winter months. Live at home and stay in school, or get a job and move out. Those are your choices. The real World may be a little hard for you to handle if you've been sheltered all of your life, so beware.

If you only work during the summer, how will you be able to afford a car note or for that matter a 1500 dollar apartment rental. Get for real girl, deal with the nagging stay at home or you will find yourself in terrible debt.
Try to talk to your parents, if you take on more of an adult role maybe they will start treating you like one.

Can you make the payments on this apartment? $1500 is a big amount for a 19yr old who hasn't got a full time job. If you move out you won't be able to afford a car because of the rent payments ... if you stay at home, you probably could buy a car and then you could get out of the house more - even if it was just to drive to the mall or somewhere.

I'm in the same situation that you're in. I'm 23 almost & I have no freedom. My family likes to demand an answer for my personal business, & they treat me very horrible, & ain't that much hate in this world! Many people advise me to move out. Try working for 6 mos. & then seeing if you can finance a car, or save like $3,000 for a used one. As long as the car gets u going, that's all that matters. Hell, I'll sell u my car! Payments are $170/month.

opportunities are high that the two of those activities, shifting or paying for a vehicle, will fee you greater beneficial than you assume. Hidden expenditures, bigger coverage, down money, etc. anticipate whichever you will do 2nd would be at the back of schedule via unexpected problems with what you do first. in case you're comfortable with delaying the pass out (and your in-regulations are comfortable with it), and actually choose/want the vehicle now... purchase the vehicle first and be arranged to attend an extra six months earlier you progression. if your cutting-edge vehicle is in working order and you (and your in-regulations) easily need the pass to take place ASAP... pass first and wait until eventually issues calm down after the pass earlier you purchase a clean vehicle.

I have a question for you.
Are your parents paying for you to go to college?
If so, then stay at home & be a little more grateful of the help they are giving you.
If not, then move out but be warned it is not all parties & barbecues with your mates. Reality bites the big one.
