The only solution to long-term weight loss is to change your eating habits and to incorporate exercise into your life.

It's all about the numbers! You have to burn more calories than you consume.

I wish there was an easy fix but there isn't!

It can, but only if you reduce calorie intake. If you drink slim fast without reducing how much you eat you will likely gain weight, because slim fast is high in calories.

There is 3500 calories in a pound of human fat. To loose 1 pound a week, you must burn 500 more calories a day than you take in. To do this and not feel hungry, focus on high fiber foods that take awhile to digest.

Think whole grains, vegetables, low fat meat, zero calorie drinks. Healthy vegetable oils are OK, unhealthy animal fats are not. Think lower calorie alternatives. Avoid sugars and fatty foods.

Exercise is good, but do not go at it so hard that it makes you eat more than you should.

yes, but only because the new slim fasts have 180 calories and much less sugar, while the old ones had 350 calories and more sugar than soda. right after new years, i went on a 2-week diet and i lost 8 pounds (i gained it back a month later). here's what i did:

breakfast - slim-fast, coffee with skim milk and splenda
snack - fat-free, sugar-free yogurt
lunch - lunch type lean cuisine or slimfast
snack - sugar-free applesauce
dinner - lean cuisine dinner selections (these rock)

i also did a 30-minute workout video once in the morning and once in the evening, and i took 3 hydroxycut pills every day.

this works so well for short-term, quick weight loss. good luck!

Hi
I really would not advice you to go on drastic weight loss with fad diets so instead try this simple plan so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Good luck

Depends on many of those little shakes you have. Tried that, they were good and gained. Moving is exercising. When working turn you ankles in circles. Do sitting leg lifts. I had a bad habit of bouncing babies when there was no baby. This came from constantly bouncing mine on my legs. Drove people crazy.

IF you stick to the plan, yes. Can you, will you, stick to it long enough ?
You should only expect to lose about 1-2 pounds per week.
