Without sadness (ie: fear) we would never know happiness (ie: love).

Everything that happens in your life happens for a reason. Whether or not you can see it clearly, the trials you go through and the feelings you feel will assist you in some deeper way tomorrow.

In the meantime (personally, i think it's called "mean-time" for a reason, lol ;-) ... make sure you are being kind to yourself. when is the last time you did something nice just for you? (ie: got a manicure, went to the movies, took a long walk, spent time journaling... etc) don't sit around waiting for someone else to come along and give you what you need. you need to take good care yourself. I suggest making you-time at least once a day or at least every other day -- even if just 10 or 15 minutes to stop and close your eyes and breathe.

Also, journaling is a great activity. It is a really powerful way to release your emotions. just write. don't censor. I like to light candles and put on my fave music when i journal. it's really relaxing. and cleansing.

I also keep a gratitude journal. I write down 5 things every day that i am grateful for.... In essence, i am building evidence to prove to myself that the world, is, in fact, a wonderful place to be.

and just one other quick thing.... it sounds like you're not sure if your boyfriend is, in fact, your boyfriend? ...I'd explore this in your journal. ask yourself why you are together and how you feel about the two of you. And most importantly, ask yourself how you feel AFTER you hang out together. therein lies the truth of your relationship.

A great book to read about self-care is Take Time for Your Life by Cheryl Richardson. You deserve the best girl!!

best of luck to you. You are an amazing person!!!

I am very sad too. Happiness is very hard to grasp. I feel that I sabotage myself a lot also. Would money make me happier? I don't know. I suggest that you hold or nuture a baby or a pet. Sometimes we need to reconnect to simple human nature, someone that needs us. This might fulfill you. Go to the hospital and volunteer to hold and feed the babies. Do something.

Perhaps God create sadness so that you will treasure and cherish those moments when you are happy...

You need to do this. Otherwise you won't realise it when you are finally happy.
