What made it that way? Was it the food, the flowers, the music, the setting, etc?

Obvisously my personal answer would be "my own" I thought it was perfect for my husband and myself and fit exactly what we wanted. BUT, the most spectacular, over the top wedding was one we were invited to. It is my husband's friend and the bride's parents live at the top of a mountain and they did it at their home. The bride pulled up in a horse and carriage and they did a justice of the peace ceremony, immediately following the ceremony the bride and groom left in a hot air baloon for an hour or so, during which time her parents opened their home for everyone to take a look (absolutely gorgeous home!) When they returned we had surf and turf of filet mignon and lobster tails and the rest of the night it was open bar. They had a fish pond that had floating candles in it and the whole thing was incredibley over the top and very romantic. I really feel as though the setting made the wedding what it was with a full panoramic view of mountains across the skyline and the candles all around really added to the effect.

Like I said, I prefer my own wedding but mine wasn't over the top!

My own, nothing will ever compare to the wedding one has on there own. Being with the guy you love (at the time) and outside with roses and rain ext. But the wedding night and the year after made me leave him, but that was the most spectacular. The next one will be even better. I am making the theme medieval.

A few years ago I attended a wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan that was outside under a gazebo. The bride arrived in a white horse and carriage and it was just beautiful. I will never forget it.

And then my own wedding. We planned everything out ourselves and my husband was a pastry chef and made our wedding cake - it was simply amazing, 5 tiers and incredible. We served the best food. Everybody had fun and a year later, they're still talking about it.

My friend Lisa's wedding. It was the best because they were so in love and so sure. Lisa was always afraid of public speaking, but for the first time ever, her voice was loud and clear and didn't shake at all, and Jeff cried as he said "I do." It was a small wedding and the reception was at the VFW hall and it made all of the fancy weddings pale.

My mother's wedding, from the decorations, the family and friends with the hot music, I really think 'spectacular' is for how sentimental and/or happy you felt. MY MOMS WEDDING, DEFINITELY!

I've never been to a good wedding! I hate attending them. I have attended some outrageous overdone weddings. I also despise showers, graduations and funerals! Unfortunately that is some thing people in a large family have to do even though you'd rather be drug through hot coals nude!
