Many, many factors come into play with this question, so there is no real answer. As a traveling salesman, I play at least once a week and rent clubs everytime out. In my experience I have found that the King Cobra and Taylor Made R5 are the most forgiving and easiest to hit for mid level players. The Callaway 454 is easy to hit too, but lacks feedback and playability. The R7 is nice, but not as easy to hit as the 5. The Ping is nice, but due to its shape and size is hard to adjust to at address. The Adams RPM line is a nice easy to hit driver too, but not in the same class as the Cobra/R5 dual.
You shouldn't be worrying about the driver, practice chipping and putting to shave shots off your score.

it varys. any driver is eay to hit depends on the person swinging it!! the robot test showed tht the R7 455 is the straightest but lacks a lot in distance as the shaft has been designed to keep the ball in play and tighten shot dispersion. whereas the club with the biggest face has got to be the easiest as it has the biggest surface area to hit. these being the cobra etc. u would benefit more from investing in lessons than anything else in golf - a good player can play golf with anything!!!!!

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.
You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

I think Ping G5 is the easiest driver to hit, also it is the longest and the straightest driver I've ever hit.

First of all you need to be fit for this to work. Go to a demo day and have them fit you, try it twice. I think if you are properly fitted the G-5 by far is the easiest to hit.

if you are a beginner, you should be concerned with the shaft. a stiff one is best, ie stainless steel and not fiberglass. they bend way to much for a beginner. and of course how much are you willing to spend. if you have a couple of grand lying around gathering dust, Taylor Made is tops in my book
