Try the NSPCC web site, they have pictures, edited obviously, that they use on their mail shots. There might be some rules about reproducing these images though.
Good luck with your research, not something I would like to do, but I'm glad there are people out there who have the strength to confront and deal with these issues.

I don't care if this is your a level or a degree in life leave the kids alone. You want SCARS - well I bet those popor kids didn't and I mean the physical as well as the mental scars.
I've worked in an environment where I have read some of these childrens stories and I was horrified about the disgusting things 'sane' people do to helpless children. So if you want to write why not try to offer helping at you local childrens home or hospice and see first hand. Then these children will once again become children rather than just scars and your piece may have some emotion which is clearly not showing in your question.

when I was 8 or 9 I had an accident on my Raleigh chopper, my friends, my brother and myself were racing down a farm track and my front wheel got locked in a groove left by a tractor tyre and I went smashing into a wall causing a large bruise on my left thigh, we all laughed hysterically. a few days later at the local swimming pool I was approached by a social worker that was adamant that my mother had done it and persistently asked me to tell her that it was my mum as she could take action against her, I told her how I got the bruise yet she wouldn't believe me, eventually I told her to f*ck off or I'd tell my mum and she would knock her out, she then went away saying she was only trying to help. I have never forgotten that moment, have I been mentally scarred by the social services? the reason I tell you this is because it is actually true. I still look back in disbelief and think what a strange woman. I actually told my mum a few years ago and she was shocked, she said I should have told her back then as she would have reported her (after knocking her out) for miss conduct. my mum's hard as nails but she's nice.

What sort of A Level are you doing that requires you to write a report about child abuse? Id be very surprised if this is true. If however I am wrong, your best bet is to speak to social services (who by the way are all ***** who should burn in h*ll - personal experience).

Since these are children we're talking about that have been abused, you may have a hard time finding actual pictures of them and of the injuries they suffered. The laws protect abused children more than any other abuse victim. I wouldn't want to see these pictures--hearing about the injuries is sufficient.

i had to do a paper in college, and chose child abuse as my topic because it is so prevalent, and wrong. i went to the college archives and found pictures so heartbreaking that i had to abandon that research, as it was close to home. college archives will be a place to find them. i instead did a paper on stem cell research, and found it disturbing too, but at least i did not see the effects of what severe beatings can do. i dropped the ball because i could not bear it. i hope you are stronger than i was.

why would u want scars. Have u any idea what these kids go through? obviously not if u want scars. What kind of person are you? its not funny you know, do u think you'll get more marks the deeper the scars, grow up and het a heart.

Are you been serious, the scars are mental scars deep inside their head and hearts, your not bright enough to be doing A level anything if you hadn't worked that out.

I would recommend contacting the child protection officer at your local police station. They will probably be able to give you the best information and sources.
