A miracle would be me ending up with Kate Bosworth.
I swear I would thank God everyday if that somehow happens.

Love is a miracle. When it happens you know it just can't be luck or coincidence and it's so unique and overwhelming and incomparable to what happens to other people and the rest of the world that 'it's the way things work' is absolutely irrelevant to what you are experiencing.
I mean Love, not corrupt versions of it.
Not everyone has the chance to experience the miracle of Love.

Miracles work when they cannot be scientifically proven. Take the example of the Saints who went through many trials before they were persecuted. Or those who were cured of illnesses that medical science cannot reason. Why do they happen. Because we are only human and want things to be explained to us humanly, then we will believe. We need to see to believe. Jesus said blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. They happen by the faith we have and that faith manifests to others. But the idea of a miracle to happen is not so much to prove that a cure has been found but the fact that others may believe of the existence of God. Jesus did many miracles in front of crowds. Why? To boast about himself? No, to tell others that the kingdom of heaven has come and that he is the way the truth and the life to every human heart and has come to bring them home to his father's house where there are many rooms......Hope this helps...
To rely on luck or coincidence is like playing a game of russian roulette isn't it? Expectations are different and no faith experience!

A miracle is an event that cannot be explained by any of the three criteria you mentioned, or any other criteria you could have mentioned. Faith alone allows you to recognize a miracle

It's hard to believe in miracles if you also believe in luck. I happen to think there is no such thing as luck. But miracles, yes - there are things that can only be explained - except God's intervention in His creation.

If miracles are only luck, chance or coincidences, why do they stop happening when I stop praying?

Natural and realistic things. There is no 'magic'. Anything will seem 'mystical' until we find the natural realities in it. To know is the greatest thing. One time the man in the radio was magic to me. If Jesus turned water into wine then scientist has a job to do. Man has an obligation to 'find out'. Survival depends on understanding aspects of perpetual motion in terms of the 'creating of realities'. A man can awe you with the very moon and the stars and the sun that he did not create. But only if you don't know...

Cuz when you have prayed your heart out a few hours before for specific things and then that exact thing happens within minutes or hours that it alot more than pure coincidence and Ive had it happen hundreds of times. I have faith and He does hear us. Sometimes the answer can be no though and thats difficult
