Why do people go all so panicky about 'sexually explicit questiions in say the single section in case the kids see it...
Surely if they do as most qs her are to help and educate or have a little fun...
This meanse they grow up sexaully smart not sexaully thick...
Like in the Netherlands... the kids all get sexaully explict sex ed in detail and from and early age and constantly...
The direct result 1/10 of the teen pregnancy rates of Amrica and 1/74th the rate of gonnohrea.
ie smart kids mess up less and as its all out in the open have less relationship and emotional problems...
Not simply opinion... check the facts.

People aren't worried about the explicit, but the degrading and vulgar.
"Do women's vaginas come in different sizes, like men's penises? My new girlfriend feels much larger to me than my old one." is certainly explicit, but not vulgar. (Though there would be people who might get upset about children reading that he's sleeping with women he isn't married to. Those people, however, probably monitor their kids' computer use, or at least they should.)
On the other hand, "Dat @#$%^ was so F%^&in huge dat i parked my f%^&in rambler in der an me an my uddah ho campd fo de nite an i shovd my (*&^ so far in hur *&^^% an @## dat we ^%&&%^%&!" might upset me if my kids were reading it.
I think kids do need information! I can't tell you how many questions (and answers!) I've seen here in which some kid doesn't even have a name for a genital part that they want to ask about! They're worried about being pregnant, so they're using the parts, yet wouldn't know a clitoris from a labia if it jumped up and bit them. And the boys who think that a woman has only "a vagina" (I actually saw one that called it a "virginia") between her legs. Girls too!
But those that don't want their kids to learn about stuff can "protect" them. I also think that a place like Y!Answers, has a responsibility to sanction those of the "bos and hitches" mindset, as the Community Guidelines tell us that that kind of stuff isn't welcome here, and that 13-year-olds may be learning things here. That bos and hitches exist only to be plugged by some player who cares nothing for them is not what they should be learning.

It is up to parents to decide when and if their children should be sex educated and I think they are probably worried that kids may get lured into 'trying it out' if they read about it.
I do think that Yahoo should segregate the questions as they would with most other services on the web and that way the issue is avoided.
Personally I think education earlier rather than later is the way to go but I dont have the right to impose that view on others....

I'm sorry, but you err in your logic and appear to be confused by liberalism, the entity dedicated to the destruction of the human race.
The Internet as it exists today is no place for any young person. If I were a parent I would not allow them to be on there until AT LEAST age 16 (which would be a worst case scenario) and 18 if at all possible. Rather, I would urge them to be involved in sports and heatlhy outdoor activities.
Most parents today don't have a clue.

Most sexually explicit material is considered child abuse. People need to be more cautious. And parents need to be more aware of what their child is doing.
Not ony are some of the questions cause for aghast. And have you READ some of the answers to these questions??!
There is nothing wrong with discussing sex as long as the information is CORRECT......& personal opinions are left out.
Despite the openness of sex today, you'd be surprised at the ignorance & naievte of soooooooooo many.

I agree, totally!
I'll tell my kids anything i just dont think they need to be talking about it online as though they have DONE it, you can be sexually smart but that doesnt mean you know everything and you are a grown up. I think if you have to explain a question and you dont want to theres something wrong, just tell them they are going to find out from their friends or worse from actually DOING it at a later date!

Americans are so embarrassed about sex and sexual matters, we tend to breed another generation of uptight folks.
