I can tell you with complete certainty....he will be medically eliminated. He'll never pass the physical.

It depends on whether he currently uses an inhaler or not. Normally if someone has a history of asthma, the dr's will check to see when the last time they used an inhaler. Asthma is not in itself a disqualified, but sends up a red flag to the MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) Doctor. Also, the heart problems would depend on what they are for. He will undergo a full examination by a doctor prior to enlisting and have to answer a series of questions. In his best interest to be honest, as lying about things such as this, could result in problems during basic training which is physically demanding.

Not 100% sure, but my best friend tried to enlist in the Army about 15 years ago and he was disqualified because he had asthma. They may have relaxed the rules since then, but asthma is one of those maladies that they can't cure, and he wouldn't be able to use an auto-inhaler if he was wearing a gas mask, so don't be surprised if they say they won't take him. Best thing to do is call a local Army recruiter and just ask him/her if asthma is a disqualifier.

He can not. He will be disqualified in the medical tests. So let him not waste efforts, although Army is a great institution to join

perhaps he might be able to create and join his personal army! but having cardiac problems and asthma may be risky for any institution that may consider accepting him.
enjoy life!
if he isn't self conscious use the force on him!

If you watch only one conspiracy documentary ever, make it this one. This just might be the best introductory video out there. Understand that every claim made in this is fact, not opinion, no matter how wild it sounds. It's all easily verifiable through mainstream news archives and public documents.

When he visits MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) he will be given a physical to determine if he is physically qualified. There they will determine if his pre-existing conditions are OK or not.

best thing to do is to talk to a recruiter, most likely not though, seen quite a few sent home from basic due to having asthma, my sister in law went in and they found out when she was in basic and was sent home. good luck to you both :)

I don't know if he can join or not. With his health problems and his williness to join, I say bless his heart and all he can do is go and try to join!
