I am a dark-skinned female and I find myself attracted to white men, but I also live in the south and miscegenation and mixed relationships are still not broadly accepted, even though there are a lot of black men with white women. Still, though, the rare times I do see white men with black girls, they are usually fair-skinned. So is it true that white men only date fair, light-skinned black women or are some attracted to dark-skinned women, too?

Oh...and not all white men are attractive. Some are just downright goofy looking...

Hey, there can be only one (period). I say this all of the time. Funny how others finally come to the conclusions you reached years ago, LOL. So, yes I do not see these changes because these changes (in reality) are quite minuscule. I am a Black woman and I get a very odd feeling when thinking of having sex or being in a relationship with a white man, but I feel OK when I am *imagining* a relationship with men from different minorities. So, I'm open to it (if there is a white guy out there that even turns me on), but I doubt that it will happen.

Listen , back in 1957 , when things were a little different they are now i was a professional skater and my partner was a dark girl . She was one of the best skaters and when she wore her short skating outfits , she would turn the eyes of all the who watched us skate . She was terrific and I was so proud of her . Everybody loved her and I never thought about what people were saying . That was up in Buffalo NY , and youi didn't see many white men with black ladies at that time .
Now things are different and it is quite common . I Joined the military and this ended our relationship , but I have always have good feelings for dark skinned girls , they just seem to appreciate a white man , and give him so much consideration . They must however maintain their phyical beauty and exercise regularly . This is the only thing that I think would turn me off if she became too heavy and let herself go .

i am from uk and i dont have a problem with mixed race relationships but as to weather white men are attracted to dark skinned black women i couldnt honestly say . but what i can say is that i'm 46 yrs old and in my life so far ive made love to black women white women and all colours inbetween the only thing i look for is a nice smile big t.i.t.s colour just dont come into it hope this goes some way to you finding the answer you looking for

I don't think the colour of skin matters in a relationship. What's important is that there should be love, understanding, care and most of all trust. One of my friends once told me that white men are mostly attracted to black women rather than fair skinned women. Wish you all the best.

I am going to answer this as honestly as I can.
The only black women I am attracted to are ones that act white. I don't care what shade her skin is, I won't date someone that acts ghetto and talks in eubonics.
If I found a black woman that had the personality that I wanted, it wouldn't matter to me if she was light-skinned or dark.

Not really. It's about how well you mix with people. Color of your skin is not the problem. It's your self esteem that more import & if you are confident, I sure there are white guys out there would attracted to you. If you are happy dating/marrry to a white, why bother about how people would think of you? After all, you are the one who has the right to be happy with your own choice.

I think if you're a good-looking person, your color will not matter. I see girls who are almost the color Black with gorgeous facial features. I am so in awe at their beauty that the color is the last thing on my mind. I'm sure there are white men that aren't, just as I'm sure there are some that are attracted.

yes ... my ex boyfriend is white and he loves black women ... his wife of 12 years was a black woman and very dark skinned and unattractive too if i might add ... if you are attracted only to white men ... then you should approach them ... you never know what will happen until you try

There are some white men out there who just like a good woman. I have seen white men with women who I've found beautiful, average, and highly unattractive. It runs the gamut.
