I am not a bigot, notice the pqotaion marks used on "heal" , I have heard this said many times, to cure or heal homsexuality, as if it were a disease.

Homosexuality is not a disease or something to be "cured". You should just accept people for who they are. No I'm not gay but I think people are far too judgemental in todays society.

Doctors no longer consider homosexuality to be a disease and so in their opinion no cure is needed. They also say its impossible to change. Of course Jesus could change it but would he want to? He never even addressed the subject.

This is from the American Psychological Association's (APA) website:

Can Therapy Change Sexual Orientation?

No. Even though most homosexuals live successful, happy lives, some homosexual or bisexual people may seek to change their sexual orientation through therapy, sometimes pressured by the influence of family members or religious groups to try and do so. The reality is that homosexuality is not an illness. It does not require treatment and is not changeable.

Also the belief that homosexual behaviour is a sin is not universal amongst Christianity and religion. There are certain denominations and millions of Christian's who don't view it as sin.

I think you are asking a heavy question here, and it's hard to answer it delicately. One cannot lump blindness and being lame with sexual orientation. The first two are legitimate physical ailments, but the latter is not. It's a choice. I know, a lot of people are going up in arms now about what I just said, but regardless of what may have happened to them as children or what they believe about being stuck with their choice, sexual preference is just that- preference.

But that isn't what you are asking, is it? To answer your question, he most certainly could help a person who wants to change, but just because they want to change doesn't make the issue their dealing with a disease. The good thing is Jesus wasn't just a physical healer- he can heal mental, emotional, and anything else people want/need changing.

So yes. I think he could help a person who wanted to change. That's part of why he came.

All sin is against God. Homosexuals are no worse then Adulters. The point is God hates sin, and will punish those that commit them. Sickness is a physical condition, homosexuality is a mental condition. Could Jesus heal them, of course, but that would require them, to have faith.

Can't cure it if it's not a disease, loser.

If Jesus is about love, I guess he would accept all people, including ignorant bigots like yourself.

If Jesus is all about hate, then you've found the right religion.

of course he could. And that doesnt make you a bigot, its just part of the reality that God teaches. Jesus does things that doesnt relate to our world, well thats fine, he isnt of this world. Dont feel bad because you agree with the Bible and not mainstream america. We cant just say that now its not a sin, however, alot of things we do are sins, so at times Christ followers pick it as there most hated sin, because it makes them uncomfortable and they judge them. See God judges we don't, you can tell someone its wrong, but thats as far as you can go.

Jesus had compassion on the lame guy. He advised him to act out on his faith and interior the technique of obeying Jesus, the guy grow to be healed. For a lame guy to p.c.. up his mattress & stroll the guy has to do it or act out on it. donning his mattress on the Sabbath isn't against Gods regulations. it could have been against mans regulations. They have been upset that Jesus healed somebody on the Sabbath. yet Jesus reminded them that they might pull an animal out of the trench on the Sabbath. additionally Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath.

Well, if homosexuality were an illness, it could be cured. If it's a choice to sin, then it can't. Obviously different choices can be made, and repentance and salvation are possible.
