People can be allergic to all kinds of things. Is the condom silicone or latex? If you've changed between the two forms, the new material may be causing the irritation or it COULD be the spermicide. Also, she may have the beginning of a yeast infection. Without more details I don't know. Is the irritation ONLY after sex? If it continues outside of sex, it could be a yeast infection..which are sometimes caused by antibiotics or birth control pills. If you feel it's the spermicide IN the condom and not the material the condom is made out of itself, try a NON-lubricated condom and see if that helps. They do make them.

Yes condoms can cause irritation. Look into finding another brand. It may be an allergic reaction to the spermicdal lubricant or it maybe the latex that is causing her to be irritated. Many people have a reaction to latex as well.

Latex is a fairly common allergy and that may be the cause if you haven't used a latex condom before. If the lubricant is only on your side then that wouldn't be the casue for her unless you applied soem on her end as well. If the irritatio nsticks aroudn she should see a docotr becasue theres a possibility that it may be more serious.

Yes. She could also be allergic to latex. I am allergic to all kinds of spermicide and latex as well - she may only be able to handle a polyurethane condom.

yes, I am to both the spermacial and to laxtex.....the irratation if minor should go away on its own, you can go to the drug store and get monastat external cream to help with the irritation, but becareful, the irritation can increase your yeast cells too, if you notice excessive discharge, you need to get the 1 day treatment of monastat
