if so, why? why not cassette or a dvd camcorder? and can it be safe without damage for long?

adv: no need to buy tapes, no rewinds, editing is easy
dis adv: you have to handle very gently, it is delicate (though they have shock protections)

HD has better quality than DVD but the same as MiniDV. The advantage are that you can browse the clips without rewinding a tape. But they are more expensive and can't hold that much. With a MiniDV camera you can just stick a new tape in.

it is worthy, and its as damagable as tapes or dvds, probably even less since you dont have to handle the media, dvd's wont be scratched, tapes wont get touched - i have a hdd camcorder and i love it

HD is better in terms of quality, so that way u won't lose much of the quality while sharing and reproducing!!!
