To cook hot water, it is essential the water is hot before you begin cooking it, otherwise, you would be cooking cold water. There are a variety of ways to accomplish this. There is the time-tested 'caveman method', by which you hollow out a rock, set it on top of a large coal bed, and wait for the water to heat up. This method is the least efficent in terms of work/output, and the most time consuming. However, in a pinch, it will work. Second, there is the 'modern method', whereby you simply pour some water in a pot, place it on the stove, and heat it up. Alternatively, you may substitute the pot for a microwave save dish and the stove for a microwave and heat it that way. This variation on the 'modern method' is sometimes called the 'post-modern method'. Finally, there is my favorite, the 'energy-saving method'. Pour some water into a copper kettle, as copper conducts heat the easiest, hold the kettle in front of your face, and commence breathing. This way works for me, but we are all filled with varying amounts of hot air, so it may or may not work as well for others. Now that your water is hot, you may begin cooking it. To do so, simply repeat either of these techniques a second time, and "Presto!", you have cooked some hot water!

Are you for real?
Just put it in the microwave, make sure the container has no metal and that will be that.
There are a million or so other ways to cook water, but microwaved water is simply the best and fastest.

Get a kettle and fill it with about 3/4 water. Place it on a stove and wait for it to whistle. When it does, your water has boiled, not cooked. ;-p
