Same Old Question! We made the world this way!
You have to be responsible for you own actions and the devil doesn't want you to be.
Another very old question:
What's the meaning of life?
Same old response:
You make the meaning

God Allows pain and suffering to occur so that you can come to him when you need consoling and come to him in faith knowing he is the only one to make things alright. Take the example of JOB! God let the Devil throw everything he had at JOB, just so he could prove to the debil that Job would remain faithful and Job did. That is why Gos Doubled and replaced all of Jobs Blessings after all he suffered. There might be a better way as far as we humans can think of, But remeber God is an all knowing spirit...SPirits as a whole see things differently and look at things differently than us imperfect humans do!

He gives us the means, (His Son) He gave us the method (faith in His Word), and He laid it out in clear, concise terms.

The question isn't "why doesn't He do something about this?", the real question is, "why haven't we believed Him and why do we blame Him when we reap the fruit of our own ways?"

The most misunderstood and overlooked verse in the Bible is this: He created us in His own image, with authority and dominion in this earth. No one wants to take responsibility or believe the source of their problems is their own willful disobedience to God's ways....but there it is. Everything you named, from wars to sickness, has been dealt with. But too many men prefer evil (think 9/11), and too many preachers keep their congregations ignorant of all that belongs to them (including healing) in Christ.

No one seems to like this, but we have our part too.

You're here to ask that question because you believed and obeyed what you were told when your parents said "don't play in the streets". (Or whatever) Would it have been their fault that you were maimed or killed if you were old enough to know better, but deliberately ignored their instructions to run around in traffic? Railing against God as if He's done nothing (while you ignore everything He's given to deliver you) is pretty much like stepping off a ten-story building, splattering on the pavement below, then yelling against God because He didn't suspend gravity long enough for you to do whatever you wanted.

I realize that we also suffer consequences of the bad choices other people make (think being injured or killed by a drunk driver here), but again I think it's because we're not sensitive to the leading of God's Holy Spirit. He deals with us every day and steers us away from every evil we can encounter. It would be no problem for Him to lead you away from that road where the drunk driver's coming along.....and it wouldn't be any problem for Him to lead the drunk driver from the bar in the first place....but neither individual is listening, so both parties just stumble along until they meet head-on.....and then God gets the blame for what happened.

Good luck. I'm glad you're asking the questions. Most people don't even bother to figure things out.

Rocky answered this question well and I agree that we have made our own pain and suffering, because we have allowed these things to happen.

We have everything at our fingertips to make this a better world, it takes time and although to us mere mortals it is taking century upon century - in the Universal time frame, it is but a blink of the eye.

God has give us all the tools to make it possible and the sooner we all get on with the job and make the changes the sooner we will get there.

THERE IS NO BETTER WAY

First of all, God is a He, Jehovah. Pain and suffering came with Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. It brought sin, sickness and death to us all. But God uses all things, including suffering and pain, even death of others, to bring about His will in our lives. Jesus suffered more than all of us put together and He was God's son. So suffering brings about obedience to God and builds patience and character in us. If we are willing and obedient to God and accept His will for our lives, we experience His blessing, but if we rebell, well, things just don't go well for us at all.

It's easy to blame God or anyone else for things that we are really responsible for bringing into our lives. We humans have a thing called pride that keeps us from admitting when we are wrong. That's why it's so hard for some people to go to God and repent--because of pride.

Basically its a matter of freewill, God gave us the choice to do good or to do evil. Thus we had the chance of actually CHOOSING TO DO GOOD. Unfortunately people chose to do evil. (Sometimes people do good things but evil is the general direction of things. God is perfect, and if we choose just a little evil, we are short of his standards.

This evil stuff (or sin) spoils the world. However God, being in his very being full of love, came as a man to die so that those who believe that Jesus is God and that God rose him from the dead, and are sorry for the evil they do, and openly admit their trust in Jesus, will not, ultimately die, but live in perfection with Jesus, as it would have been if we'd never sinned.

Well, it's because we have freedom of choice, and as a race we choose war. Our ancestors chose sin and the bad things for us. Of course there is a way out, but you are looking for some quick easy answer and wouldn't be interested in that.

Regardless of what religious nuts tell you, God is not in control of this planet. We are. God controls heaven. We control the events on earth. God will not interfere. He gave us everything we need to create heaven here. But we are to greedy, hateful, foolish, and uninformed to do anything about it. God is not divided into a Muslim part, Christian part, Buddhist part, Taoist part, and Atheist part. He does not argue with himself. He does not hate himself. God is one. We should be too. But, you can throw that idea right in the dumpster. Right?

Have you read Revelations??? It's the last chapter of the Bible. It says all this will happen in the end times.... world wars, gay marriages, everything that is wrong in the world. And it all happened cause Eve ate that damn apple!! IF you haven't read revelations, read it. It's important. And watch "The Passion of the Christ" It's worth every minute.
