high lighting yearly is actually ok, as long as you do routine maintenance and care such as use vitamin mask and shampoo especially for tinted hair. when shampooing do not scratch your scalp and make sure you don't use your nails, do it gently. When it's still falling , do not use blow dry brush and hair dryer. Let the hair dry naturally . The other important thing is to identify the cause, are you in stress ?. Mental stress can also manifested in falling hair. If you are, cool your self , take long holidays and enjoy life :)

Its possible that youre hair is not falling out, but beaking off. The highlighting bleach causes damage and dryiness, making strands brittle and break. Start using deep conditioning shampoos and conditioners. Thats the best u can do until the highlights grow enough to be cut/trimmed.Also, this could be a direct result of the products used to higlight. Though, as said, its all damaging, but improper application and using products too strong for your hair type will further promote damage and breaking off.

I don't know much about it but I'll tell you what I know :
1-don't get your hair close to a hot temperature source like an oven for too long time cause hot temperature hurts your hair
2-try to get it moist most of the time
3-get some cactus composition it may help
And finally you should know that hair falls everyday naturally from 25-100 single hair a day and other hair grow over the fallen hair !

You need to eat a balanced meal and no stress. Fruit, veggies, meat, bread. Just a little of each every day. And try to meditate, like just sit somewhere for 15 minutes and stare off into space...no interuptions.

Maybe you could try a little vitamin E. But you should see either your hairdresser or your doc and see if you have alopecia.
I had that, and I didn't do anything about it. It went away after a few months.

If it isn't breaking i.e. through over dyeing and is more than normal hairloss, then I think you really should check things out with your doctor or a trichologist to ensure that you haven't any underlying health problems causing the loss.

If you're young, this isn't normal. Try eating more protein and vitamins, if you're a vegan take protein pills.
