What do you like best about it, the enthusiastic worship, the attached ice rink, or that day in Spring when the firetrucks roll up and everybody gets babtised?

I live so close to Lakewood Church I can throw a rock at it.
And often do.
God loves Joel Osteen!

I not only attended, but me and my family helped build one.
It was enormous! The worship was no less than enthusiastic, and we gave every penny we could possibly spare.
Then we found out that the
preacher " and his wife had several different rent homes ( $5000.00 a month and more, owned a couple of homes in the country, drove brand new cars every year. In short. they were taking everyone for all they were worth, and going on one vacation after another, while the members of the church were struggling.
This went on for several years before he got " busted " and left the country, probably doing the same thing to other poor innocent people.
We loved everything about it until we all found out what he and his wife were doing.
We will never have anything to do with another one again.

ha ha that's funny.. lol

actually i've been a member at a mega church before. i started when it was a minor church, so it wasn't so big for me.. and as the church expanded, i still felt like part of the family because i was involved with several different volunteering groups in the church... and i'd see familiar faces every week.

i know a lot of ppl want an intimate setting for church, but to me it doesn't matter as long as i'm getting the Word of God... i've been to churches so small i could count all the members (and their children) with one hand.. and i've been to the opposite side of the spectrum where there needed to be 4 services..

the only thing i like best about a church is *the sermon* and if it makes sense to me. i don't care if it's lined with gold, and if everyone can see me on tv during the weekly broadcast.
