Asked my hubby, who is currently staying in Thailand...he said he never heard of a Ting Tong, which isn't even a proper Thai name. He asked other faculty around campus in Thailand, but the other prof's also haven't ever heard of a female model named Ting Tong...but...in a conversation ting tong means crazy...it's usually used in bar girl slang, he'd been advised...to probably your girlfriend is herself not aware of the meaning of that word...

Ting Tong Macadangdang is a fictional character in Little Britain, played by Matt Lucas. She first appeared in series 3.
Ting Tong is a mail-order bride from Thailand, ordered by a man named Dudley Punt. However, she looked nothing like her photo. That's a good analogy. You have to wonder where evil came from (the torture chamber as symbol of evil), but I don't think God causes it directly. Or causes people to engage in inhumanity at all. I wonder sometimes if He didn't just set the world in motion then turn His back and walk away. But I cannot seem to get my mind around why He would have created Lucifer, etc. But Nikki, believing in the existence of God and having faith that He will protect the faithful are two different things for some people. I'm convinced that there exists a Divine Intelligence, but my faith in Divine Intervention is pretty shaky. I do pray quite a bit and ask for answers, some sort of understanding of why He doesn't get more involved. I don't believe that some obvious, tangible sign will make itself known, I hope that I'll come to an understanding within my heart. That reminds me of a joke I once heard: 'when you talk to God it's called prayer, when God talks to you it's called schizophrenia'. If we're all wrong--the Christians, Muslems, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc.--then the world is truly an even more empty, scary place. But I can appreciate your argument, it makes sense, and certainly is thought provoking.

Yes, it's a funny way of calling someone crazy. It could be true, but this name would probably not be used by a reputable model in Thailand.
