Stage one Planning:

1) What is the matter to be presented and how is it to be presented on the website.
2) What type of graphics/ animation do you require.
3) Would you need a database ? It is required to add names and addresses to your website.
4) Do you wish to have a mailing list ?

Stage two designing:

1) Do you wish to design the website yourself ? This would require some knowledge of HTML.
2) If ou are designing the web pages yourself it would be useful to use a good editor like Microsoft Front page or First page 2000.
3) There are a lot of free and not so free templates available from the net. These would have to be customized.
4) If you are getting a web designer to design the web pages he could customize the web templates for you or you could go in for your own customized templates and graphics. He could also design the database for you so that customers can fill in their registration details etc.

Step three Hosting:

1) You would require to copy the web pages/graphics/animation and database to a computer called a web server. There are a lot of companies offering free and not so free web hosting for some space starting from 25 MB upwards where you may copy your files into a designated folder on the server.

Step four Domain registration:

1) You would need to register a domain name like www.yourcompany.com which would redirect web users to the web pages hosted on the web server. There are a lot of companies offering free and not so free domain registration.

Type in your domain name on the browser like www.yourcompany.com. Hooray your web site should now work !
