The safest type of sex out there is self-sex. If other people are involved it's not called safe sex anymore.
But there are steps you can take to make sure it's safer sex. For example wear a condom.

Actually, even self-sex is dangerous sometimes.
So, safe sex=condom. Still, it's not 100% safe. Try using spiral, birth control pills and a condom. The possibility of a pregnancy are really close to zero then. I can't say the same thing for sexually transmitted diseases.

It is called that because it is to protect you from STD's and Pregnancy. They should call it "a little safer sex" - there is no SAFE sex except No Sex.
