In other words, should I cut out/reduce the amount of instant coffee granules the dog consumes?

you shouldn't be letting yoor dog eat coffee granules at all, will make them ill

Yes, the caffine in coffe is very toxic to dogs (and cats). Caffine increases breathing and heart rate, sometimes causing irregular beating of the heart. It also effects the central nervous system. For more information visit this link...

Dogs and cats shouldnt eat food designed for humans, but then I am suddenly struck with the thought of - would they eat the beans in the wild?

I think you should stop him, he might get additred to the caffine, become hyper etc

A tablespoon full of coffee granules can kill a human being Ive heard,so I dont think it can be very good for a dog.He will go to pot.

Don't give him the coffee and he will not longer have a taste for it....can't have a "taste" for something he is not fed. Stop feeding them to your dog.

caffine is toxic to dog , do not let your dog eat coffee , this is also the reason your not suppose to give your dog chocolate , please be a responsable dog owner and do wots best for your dog

Don't feed your dog coffee granuales. And lock up your trash can. If he eats the wrong thing, he could get sick and die.
