ing out of the oven it's usualy caked and crusty on the top...should i reduce the heat?

Follow directions from the box and you will not have to pull your pudding any more. I repeat, use the box.

When u put it in the oven cover it with foil keep checkin it with knife .when u prick the knife it should come out clear.ok.

If it is black pudding then I suggest giving it a good wash lol .

just buy one already cooked from the store - that's much easier..
