He is moving into a house with five of his friends this weekend... any good ideas on what to get/make him, or even the group of friends?
It is a college program house and their theme is cars/working on them.
Thanks!

Besides working on cars, think of what else these guys like to do. If they are meat-eaters, get them a grill or a George Foreman one. If they already have a grill, get them some nice grill utensils. Guys usually like practical gifts, but maybe a picture for their wall, one of a vintage car. Make a pan of lasagna and fill a basket with cheese, bread, wine for a nice dinner. Does the house have a fireplace? If so, how about some wood and fireplace utensils? I wouldn't go with a plant or candles or anything decorative; most guys don't really appreciate that kind of stuff. Think practical (although I know it's difficult for us to do, we always want to buy something "pretty", but believe me, that's not what they want) Food is always a good option for guys!

Plants are always a great house-warming gift. But if you want to go one step further, hit up a BBQ.

You could engrave a picture frame or a key rack or really anything. I like the idea of taking a picture of him (or the both of you) while he's unpacking or doing repairs on the house and then engraving the picture frame, maybe with the date of the move-in, for example.

I think a big crockpot and some recipes copied off the internet that are easy enough for them to toss in the thing. Guys like to eat! Crockpot's are fool proof. *smile*

Get some disposable toilet seat covers to put on it when you go round, coz i wouldn't fancy sitting on a toilet used and maintained by that many guys!!!

If it was me, I'd want a good set of beer glasses. Something all of the guys can enjoy.

They have some really masculine candles at Yankee Candle that he might like. They don't smell girly!
