Although he has not told me that he is in love with me he shows it in many ways, such as commitment, affection, thoughtful jestures etc. I do love him but im afraid if I tell him first it will scare him away. Were a middle aged (both divorced) so we do have some experance with relationships, however im afraid to say it.

I would say go for it, but you can prob. judge his character better than I, so....

If your worried that those particular words will scare him away then perhaps you can use other ones, such as telling him you have strong feelings for him or that he has earned a special place in your heart.

You could perhaps give him a token of your affection (such as a ring or necklace) and explain that it's to always remind him of you.

In either case the hope is that he catches on that there are deeper feelings than stated and picks up the Que and lets you know if he feels the same.

In the end, I hope you say something. For life is to short to let love stand unspoken. Unfetter your heart...

Then sit him down and tell him that you guys are going to have an honest conversation about your feelings for one another. You will be the first to go. Be honest and sincere and make sure that he is taking in what you are saying. Then ask him how he feels about you and what you guys are going to do now that you have this information. Be sure to tell him that he is not obliged to reflect your feelings and that he is not pressured into going into something that he will later on regret. Best of luck amigo

First of all, do you want to marry him? If you do, then go ahead & say how you feel (maybe he hasn't told you he loves you because he doesn't want to scare you either). I f you just want something without commitment, tell him how you feel & add that you don't want anything serious. If either way he leaves, then maybe he wasn't worth the whole year.

There is an old saying, "when in doubt, leave it out." If you are feeling anxious about saying it, then let your instincts guide you. Another moment to consider and listen to your heart may be in order.
