Interesting idea, but no, god doesn't show himself because he doesn't exist. It's really that simple.

I agree that God shows himself to us everyday, although not physically as you're implying in your question. I think that God doesn't physically show himself to us because it would take away man's "free will". If we saw God (in person), then we wouldn't believe by use of faith. Heaven or hell is my own choice. Chosing Him by faith alone, commits us more to Him.

God shows himself to those who love him. He shows himself in ways that are not typical of what a human would expect. He most prominent way of displaying himself is in the blessings he bestows upon those who obey his voice. Jesus loves you.

God is showing himself every day in everyone
Look at your newborn baby, thats God - he is loving you.
look at the bum on the street, thats God - he is teaching you
Your boss who is treating you badly, thats God is testing you.

Now, knowing that how would you treat them?
Knowing that wouldnt you give that bum a sandwich?
knowing that wouldnt you try to be a better worker?

Think about that today...thats why you have got to love your neighbor, because he is God....expressing himself to you

Cuz he is so huge and amazing that we would go blind if we saw him. That's why moses aged and looked older after he came down from the mountain where he got the ten commandments from God. He shouldn't have looked.
