Depends on the type of supplement. Fat soluble ones are best taken with food, or at least milk. Those are the ones recommended to be taken with or after food.
Other supplements are water soluble, and can be taken with anything, with or without food. The water's only a lubricant to get the tablets down your throat, in that case.
In any event, the regular consumption of 2.5 litres of water daily can only help you, because an ample supply of water regulates your metabolism, aiding the assimilation of the supplements you take.

It really doesnt matter whether you take tablets just before or just after meals because this will have the same affect. The reason we take tablets with meals is to minimise any damage to the stomach when taking potent medications, and also to increase absorpsion. It is also better to take supplements with food rather than just water alone, as again it gives time for the substances to mix with the food you have eaten and therefore increase absorption.

Depends on the supplement. Most multi-vitamins work best if you take them with a meal (or right after). Calcium is absorbed best when the body is at rest, so just before bed is good. Vitamin C and B complex, can be taken any time. Vitamin E, and other oil-soluble vitamins, are absorbed best when taken with some kind of fat---dairy, butter, olive oil, etc.

this depends on the supplements you take, usually like most medications there taken best with food or just after, and also you should swallow most tablets with water and no other drink.
some people take there tablets with milk which should not be done, people think that milk is a drink which in fact milk is a food, if you think about it logically what do we give newborn babies as food MILK, yes believe this or not milk is a food and not a drink, and although Ive told you most tablets are taken best with food or just after, some tablets interact with milk so never take tablets with milk guys

Take your tablets just a little while before eating. the food helps them be absorbed into your gut lining where it extracts what your body needs. There is no piont in taking a heap of pills as your body will only take what it needs and rid itself the excess in the form of urine & stools. If you take a look at your urine you;ll notice how its darker than usual becos its loaded with the excess residual tablets it hasnt needed.
