Depends on how you go about it..
I am Canadian and married an American... after we got married I had to come back to Canada so I have been actually waiting over a year to go back (2 more weeks to go... yeah!!!) I hear if you stay after your married tho it is a lot faster.. I would defiantly get a lawyer to do the papers for you. its worth the money and will save you a lot of time and headaches!

Just because you are married to an American does NOT mean you can then just stay in the country.. you still have to have your status changed!

A white woman as an immigrant ..... now that's real diverstiy. At least you can speak english and are willing to become a productive member of U.S. society.
