How do i go about petitioning the court on a seized vehicle ?

the vehicle was seized because i was arrested for possesion of a controlled substance that was found in the car.the car isnt in my name.the car is in my friends name who had no idea the controlled substance would be in their car with me when i borrowed it.

It sounds like you owe your friend the money to replace his car.
