2. Hezbollah terrorists fire Katusha rockets against t Israeli tanks, killing 8 soldiers and kidnapping 2 FROM WITHIN the ISRAELI side of the border, taking them deep into Lebanon.
3. Israeli forces fired back to defend themselves and try to RESCUE their friends.
4. The war was never against the LEBANESE government, nor was it a war for territories but for self-defense. It was against the Iranian and Syrian financed TERRORIST organization HEZBOLLAH
5. Hezbollah THREATENED the CIVIL population in South Lebanon that IF they would RUN AWAY from the Israeli attacks, AS THEY WERE WARNED BY THE ISRAELIS TO DO, then HEZBOLLAH would KILL them. As simple as that.

As with everything. There are 2 sides to every story. Israel is surrounded by rogue countries that have one grudge or another against the west and anyone who backs the west.
Hezbollah are a terrorist faction that use humans as a shield both before after and during there rocket strikes (i/e they are buried within civilian territory hence they also kill there own people) because weather you have noticed or not lebanons armed forces are not the ones attacking israel. Israel was violated when Hezbollah decided to Kidnap soldiers and army officers because they simply could!

Under the feeble excuse of trying to retrieve 2 military that had been kidnapped by Hezbollah (but now we know that the attack was being planned months earlier), Israel invaded Lebanon.
The plan was that Syria (that supports Hezbollah) would intervene and attack Israel and, sub-sequentially, Iran would do the same.
The US then had the excuse they needed to sent a force there and attack Iran, the sole purpose of such a stupid war!
