something that will nurture her e.g. spa treatment or trip away it shows you care that she feels relaxed and cared for.

Look at what the ladies are suggesting, so if you give her a rock now where do you stand. Every year that passes you would have to up the Annie. Go from the heart not the wallet, remembering the date and simple stuff mean quite a bit.

Not being funny but after a year you should have a good idea what she likes. If not go for the classics Flowers, chocs, underwear etc.
If you can think of what she likes and get something on this theme the personal touch is much beter.

i'd say flowers or a necklace, that way it can be a surprise, if u get a ring u have 2 find out her size or guess and it might be wrong. another good idea is just a card saying how u feel about her and maybe a teddy 2. that's what my bloke got me 4 valentines day this yr, simple but very sweet.

Think back to the first date .. was there a restaurant you went to? A drink she bought?
Try and think of something that reminds her of that day as it will show that you really care and that things you have done together in the past mean a lot to you .. .I am sure she will go all soppy and you will have a great anniversary - hope you have lots more too!

flowers, jewellery, perfume always go down well with me.
or - something related to your life together - the first movie you saw on dvd, or a book that you know she would like, or a mix cd of songs that mean something to you both.
or get her an ipod and fill it up with great music if you want to spend a bit more. there are companies that will do this for you if you are short of time!

If she isn't materialistic then cook her a nice meal, light some candles and get a nice 'scent' in the room. Be romantic.
If she is materialistic and needs presents from you to reassure herself that you still love her then perfume or even a nice dress.

It depends on her interests. Like if she likes a particular type of music or band then you could buy her concert tickets. A piece of jewelry is always nice...a bracelet or necklace. Is there something that she needs? How about a picture taken of both of you from a professional photographer?

well i dont know your price limit but girls always love it when you buy them some fancy jewellery... just dont get earings that come in a small box... she might get the wrong idea!! a necelace or a bracelt would be good! you could also get her 1 single red rose... because youve been going out a year! she'll love it!!!

take her to a hotel for a weekend.and give her a time to remeber with rose petals on the bed,candle lights and champange.good luck.
