I really enjoyed th food at a place called Pizze Express. I think its a chain group so you'll probably find 'em all over London. The one I ate at was opposite the British Library on Euston Road which is a stone throw away from Kings Cross station & is run by a Italians. They got good pizza but I also tried their Lasagne, & it's good.
Im a South African who enjoys good food but when I got to London I discovered that all restaurants served food with a bland taste. ..Well except for this one.
Ofcourse I have'nt tried the upmarket restaurants because they are way too expensive for me!

My byf and i went to Carluccios off Oxford street yesterday and the food and atmosphere was great. Cafe style dining for people who like the noise and hubub of London. Not a cozy retreat.
Went for an italian near southwark market opp London bridge station under an arch neon lights in green, sorry dont know the road. really nice food freshly cooked and reasonable prices, but the music and dancing ideas were a bit OTT. Too noisy and far to outlandish for us. if you like a mix of crazy peolpe dancing to really cheesy track then this is the place for you. Although the food was brill and free Limoncello was nice.

Thousands. I like the one in Muswell hill (north london) the porcheter. Will be queing for an hour or so unless you book it!
My theory is if it is bussy or you need to queue it is a good restaurant(why wait for bad food you can get that any where)

If you want delicious, real Italian food - Passione - on Charlotte Street is divine.
In particular, you need to try their ndodone. It is a special type of gnocci that is delicious!
I have eaten there many times and have always had a delicious meal.
Enjoy!

I know it's a chain restaurant - but Bella Italiana isn't bad at all - there's a couple of them in Les. Square

I like Tartufo on Frith Street in Soho. There's a good one in Covent Garden that's BYOB too but I can't remember what it's called.
