Anyone who could let their dog suffer injury and profit from it has no business having a dog.

Are you a COMPLETE moron, or just partially brain dead? Of course it's illegal! Just because something is hard to enforce because of ignorant people like you does not mean it will ever be legalized. But, I'll tell you what - it is NOT illegal for you to stand in the middle of the ring and let your friends place bets on how long it takes the dogs to SHRED you into little bits of hamburger that they then feed to the birds used in illegal c**k fights! You suck as a person if you think for a second that this is OK. There was a couple of puppies just found locally that had their ears CUT OFF WITH SCISSORS by people like you! They should do that to you. No one has to LIKE dogs or animals, we just have to TAKE CARE OF THEM and not inflict pain and suffering on anything capable of feeling pain. I hope you posted this just to be a jerk, and not because you really want to know.

Dogfighting is illegal in the UK,you risk a £20,000 fine and/or imprisonment!!Tough new powers relating to all aspects of illegal dog fights in UK have been announced.
The proposals will make it an offence to make, show or distribute film of animal fighting in the UK. Offenders will also face increased fines and prison sentences under the plans.
Changes to the Animal Health and Welfare will put an end to criminals profiting from films to make money out of promoting illegal fights and gambling. The UK is committed to reducing the needless suffering of all animals and to protecting animals from one of the most shocking acts of cruelty.
The act of dog fighting is already illegal, and these tough new powers provide the tools needed to punish those responsible for this vicious crime by increasing the maximum penalty for the worst cases of animal abuse to twenty thousand pounds and or twelve months imprisonment."
Organised dog fighting is one of the most abhorrent acts of premeditated animal cruelty. The offenders operate within an underground network and the fights are often filmed to be 'enjoyed' later and to also highlight the aggression of individual dogs.People involved in this activity, must be very sick individuals!!!

The laws may vary from state to state, but for the most part it is illegal in most if not all states. It is cruel and abusive. Why don't YOU get in the ring and fight the dog. And I don't want to hear oh the dog can handle it, its skin is tougher. Thats a crock of chit.
It is wrong regardless how you look at it.

Dog fighting as a sport is illegal. Just because you haven't been caught, and you theink the laws are selectively enforced, doesn't
make it any less illegal.

Yes, I don't know how much you need the money but why put a poor defenseless animal through that. That is heartless. Put some gloves on and YOU go fight.

I have no idea, it depends on where you live.. you really need to state your country before you can ask about specific laws.

Dog fighting though, is a horrid and cruel sport, if you could even call it that.... and if it is not illegal where you are, it should be.

Why would you want your dog to fight anyway, if you have no respect of compassion for animals, you don't deserve to have them.

Pretty sure dogfighting is still illegal, I know someone who had a dog bred to fight, well anyhow. Illegal or not, it's still cruel, maybe if you moved to another state.

Very illegal. They are not relaxing, you are REALLY showing your ignorance here. Do the world a favor, and kill your self...in a gun war or something. Or get your flesh torn off, piece by piece and have people laugh at your torture. Doesn't matter, all your "friends" made a few bucks right...
