I am going to the Norfolk broads to fanny about on a boat in a couple of weeks: should I be worried?

I heard it on radio 1...quite a sweeping statement, any brits from that area agree with it?

Norfolk has the highest suicide rate in Britain, even people living in dreich places such as Greenock, Rhyl or Birmingham don't top themselves as often as the Norfolk do. The boring look of the land and cities are probably the root cause - and this desperate boredom may well have lead to inbreeding and having tea with your sugar. Still, if you don't take your niece with you, you should be fine. When fannying about in a boat though, try not to notice what's beneath the surface - and avoid jumping off bridges.
