Have you ever realized that Christians fight all the other religions? I myself is a Christian and a pastor but still cant see the use that we try to fight other religions with our words. Where is the love in that? How about we change their view on things by our way of living?

Take a good, hard look at your theology. Have you noticed any common thread among Christianity and Islam? Are they more concerned with global conquest then they are with the relationship to God? Has there ever been peace in the Middle East? I mean ever? Why did you choose to become involved with this particular religion? Have you ever studied the religions of different places on Earth, or only your own theologies? Are you convinced that your faith is the One True Faith that makes all other spiritual expressions False? Do you really think that the human spirit is so limited? Only one Middle Eastern tribe 'got it right'? Which is more important in a religion: one's relationship to the Divine or social conformity? Cultures from a resource-poor environment, like a desert, might require a higher level of social conformity to maintain social cohession when faced with wave after wave of invaders. Is fanaticism conductive to a free society? In my opinion you should look beyond the veil of cultural debris and really look at things. If you are only doing what you were raised into, without studying other religions, you are just a mouth-piece and don't have the experience to know what is true.

I suspect that may require more faith than most so called Christian Warriors actually have... It is perhaps too difficult for them to trust that faith in God's grace and the holy spirit is enough. Perhaps they do not yet have the patience to be content with God's schedule so they substitute man's. They may not yet have the experience to realize they can not force their interpretation of God's will down everyone else's throat without consequences to themselves. Perhaps it is that the courage to live the actual teachings of their messiah requires that they face difficulties and hardship and they have given up hope. I can only guess why they do these things, but I rejoice that I will never be a Christian if this is their way.

Yes, most religions ffight against other ideas because they are so insecure with their own. There really is nothing to support the idea of any god existing, let alone one god being more likely than another god. Therefore, Christianity (and other religions) fight to keep their members from listening to other people. They know that any halfway charasmatic guy with a good story can take members away from them. So, they see all other religions as a threat.

Why bother trying to change their view on things? Why can't their path be as equally valid as ours? I'm a Christian but I don't believe that there is any one true religion and I think that proselytization is wrong. However, I do agree with you that we need to stop fighting other religions. There is no love in that, you're absolutely correct.

Fair enough. But people on this site are asking. It is a great opportunity to witness to people.
1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
This is why we should give a good answer to people's questions. As long as they are not too over the top or crude or plain ridiculous.
Bless you. The other reason is that darkness and light will never stand together.

A public image is important, but the world cannot know if that image is true or false unless a Christian opens his mouth and expresses the word of God. Sometimes this requires taking off the gloves and getting involved in some serious spiritual warfare. "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity ever thought to the obedience of Christ." (Corinthians 10:3-5) Jesus loves you brother.

It's just another form of extreme hypocrisy and self-righteousness. Non-believers are fed up with having stuff crammed in our faces, and when we voice our opinions, then some of the Christians get uppity and act like they have the right to kill anybody who doesn't share their beliefs -- such as hot-headed, dim-witted PAT ROBERTSON wanting to have President Chavez MURDERED -- in the name of god.

What is this? "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition".

Or, maybe it's cuz non-believers are sick of TV evangelists fleecing the flock -- Joyce Meyers, Creflo Dollar, Don Stewart, Jan Crouch and countless others who promise prosperity if you pay them big bucks. Scam artists!

True.

Let us stop claiming the "right" religion because religion is man's creation and what is created in this world is basically "evil".

we are to follow the Word and make people aware of what God has said. Many people haven't heard the truth, but I know we can't shove it down the throats. That's where our love and grace comes in that we have from God.
