depends in which format have u ripped the DVD. u can rip the 4.2 gb DVD to a size of 650MB but at reduced quality. But the max space would be the size of the DVD.

It depends on the length of the movie and whether the DVD is dual-layer or single layer. The size of the movie on your hard-drive is also determined by the sort of compression you use. Expect anything from 1 GB up to 8.5 GB.

depends on dvd andd if you keep all menus and extra features could be from 2gigs to 8 gigs depending on size of movie
