First of all, someone having sex with a dog isn't a pedophile. It just means they are into bestiality. And no you can't. Its actually legal in most states. Very few states have laws against it. I'm not saying that someone having sex with an animal is right. But you shooting that person, is wrong.

Firstly, "rape" is when sex is unconsentual. You would need to prove that the animal is unconsenting.
Secondly, this doesn't make them a pedophile; a pedophile (paedophile in proper English) is someone who gets turned on by having sex with children.
They would be committing "bestiality", which is legal in some places, and illegal in other places.
One thing is for definate: If you shot someone committing bestiality, you would be committing murder. The best thing you can do in situations like this is to phone the police.

In South Africa you can not legally shoot the man if he is having sex with an animal. (In our law it will not be rape, but will be the crime BESTIALITY).
Peadophilia is someone who has sex with a pre-pubescent child. You also are not just allowed to shoot the person. You have to be able to prove that it was THE ONLY WAY that you could have stopped the crime. (Having sex with someone who is already in puberty can be a crime depending on the persons age, but is not considered peadophilia)
