I fling my head to the side that has the water as hard as I can to try to get it out. It usually works. If not, the water will work it's way out over a couple of days, although it'll be annoying.
The water could also become a breeding ground for bacteria and cause an infection. If your ear starts to hurt too much over the next day or two, go to the doctor for some antibiotics.

Don't think it's silly. It really does work. Tilt ur head towards one side [ the ear in which there's water ] and jump.

according to the magazine that i used to read when i was little, you are advised to hop on one leg.say,if you feel that the water has gotten into your right ear,hop on your left leg while your right head bend to the right and your right ear facing to the floor..and while you're hopping on that left leg, snap your left fingers as well..and do vice versa if the water enters the left ear..it works sometimes..just try it..good luck!!

bend to one side and press the side of your ear where it is nearest to your head. as in the part which joins it together. always work for me! or you could just get some tissue and dig it in.
