God is god however there are many other gods.
Society followed the old ways for centuries, the Egyptians knew and understood it..
The Druids
Lots of others did too, however religion and politics go hand in hand ( sounds familiar does it and the old ways had to die...
The priest went on their merry way killing everyone who did not convert to Christianity..not much of a choice is it.
Your road to enlightenment is one of peace, compassion, understanding and trying your hardest to be a good person who looks for the truth and does not follow blindly like a sheep.
My family is from Ireland some follow the old ways, some the new way.
Although l do know that the old ways of healing, crystals, prayer and l mean real prayer not a ' Sunday special" work best.
Remember karma has a way of coming back to haunt you

There is only one God, Neither He was born from parents nor He bears children.
Yes God exists actually though He is very close to Us but still we can't see Him and to see Him we must become pious Human Beings, in other words we must become as God wants us to be.
So become as God wants you to be and you will see Him personally.

The scripture says, There is only one GOD
But the name GOD is not in the singular form (noun), it is a plural noun.
Example,
ELOHIM is plural, ELOAH is singular. The word Elohim is constantly used in the scripture, and the word Eloah one time when referen to God himself (ancient of days).
MAN is a composition of 3 things, namely, body - soul - spirit, yet they are called man. 2 is invisible, 1 is visible (body)
TIME is a composition of past - present - future, yet they are called time. 2 is invisible, i is visible (present)
GOD is a tri-unity of persons, Father - Son - Holy Spirit, yet they are called God. 2 is invisible, 1 is visible (Son - Jesus)

Thousands of gods and goddesses exist. None of them created the world or man. The Creation stories are a metaphor of some kind. Man made the gods and goddesses. They can help you.
