has anyone ever dated whilst on anti-depressants? if so, did u tell ur partner staright away taht u were on them or did he/she find out them selves. does it matter your on them and dating. doesnt it make u feel as though u have more burden than not only caring for yourself but someone else too? or does it make u feel wanted and cared for and loved? do u feel of low energy levels so u dont want sex or do u wnat more? thanks, im curious coz im on anti-depressants and not dating coz might feel as though i may burden someone with my problems and then it might not end well i.e being dumped and feeling unhappy.

I don't think someone you are just starting to date needs to know what medications you are on.

I am on anti-depressants. Dating is fine, since I feel my depression is under control. I would not date while still feeling very depressed.

If I started to get serious about someone, I would tell him that I had trouble with depression and am on medication.

Good luck to you.

Its no one elses business that your are taking anti-depressants. The medication isn't a "fix all" it assists you with feeling down and low self worth. The medication should not affect your sexual needs or wants. The medication can cause problems with male performace, if this happens consult your Dr. to have the medication changed or adjusted

Not a good idea, especially if the anti-depressants make you feel "higher" than your normal self.

I married my wife while in the midst of an anti-depressant high. I love her and I miss her dearly, but I didn't make good choices under that "high."

Just date. Why close yourself off from the world & others.

WHO care these days if you are taking necessary medications to survive?

Do Diabetics, Heart patients care? NO they still function normally.

You may get help by switching antidepressants. Drugs like "Bupropion and Mirtazapine" cause less sexual side effects. All SSRIs cause sexual problems in 90% of the people.

i can understand that, but in all relationships whether they have a mental health issue or not if someone really cares for you they will accept you for you, and if they don't they are not worth your time.i have problems too, and i know where your coming from take care.
