1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons milk
1 cup butter
1 Tablespoon Meringue powder
4 cups powdered sugar
Sift sugar and meringue powder, set aside. Cream together remaining ingredients. Gradually add powdered ingredients. Mix until smooth and creamy.
I have been told that this is actually better than Publix icing because it is so fresh, but if you really want Publix, they sell their icing by the pound.

I would call and speak to the bakery manager, and tell them the problem... If the cake is messed up this time, I would defiently file a complaint with publix and never return for a custom cake... I've always had good experiences at publix, when I lived in florida... I am now in oklahoma and miss publix and winn dixie...

I agree the 'Publix' bakery is wonderful.
I would ask them, if you do not get the recipe, I would
ask a different employee in the bakery each time I would go
there. It really does pay off. The right person will tell you.
