Do i need a software before i can upload pictures from motorola v3 to the pc via of the mini USB?

no you don't need any software your PC will see your phone as removable disc then you could brows the phone and upload what ever you like

no the PC should do the work but if you want to do allot more with it then you may have to get some software like Nero to do CD DVD moves etc.

Your V3 came with a USB cable. That should be enough.

u must have got a cd with the phone, u need to install that and then u use the PC in sync with the phone. have fun.
