GOD = Knowledge + ENTROPY

Definitions:

GOD is all thing which are beyond my direct control, be they things which are controlled by other people or by acts of GOD.

ENTROPY = Ignorance, or lack of information

Knowledge = Belief x Trust

Therefore in general

ENTROPY = GOD-Knowledge

Our ignorance is what is left when we deduct what we know about GOD from the total existence of such an entity.

ENTROPY can be explained as containing knowledge we have yet to discover, and information we will never know.

It is the existence of ENTROPY which no church, or religion can explain satisfactorily other than by filling it with flat earth theory, or the theory that the sun revolves around the earth. Belief requires credibility, and blind faith suggests that ENTROPY is constant. It is not constant, it is always declining in size as new information is discovered. This makes religion hyocritical as it does not use this information fully in its definitions and theories about the existence.

Er, great argument about the equation, but how in the world did you come out with that garbage?

God = Knowledge + Entropy? Maybe that could work out, because from what I can infer from your definition that God is everything we do know and don't know about him. But how could things be inversely interpreted to Entropy being a remainder of what god is subtracted by what we know?

Logically you are constructing an argument with:

Y = X + Knowledge. Because we don't know fully comprehend god, nor could we possible know what we don't know because it simply a matter of ignorance.

The church and religion can never satisfactorily explain how the world works. The human body itself is more complicated that a running car. Science is simply a way at studying to recover knowledge not known to us.

When does blind faith suggest that ignorance is constant? It is simply the will of certain men who decide that ignorance is bliss and that new information can not be obtained, but we all know that's not possible. The human mind is made to be infinitely powerful in comprehending and discovering new knowledge on a daily basis. No rational person can argue that change is not constant. Change always occurs, but religion argues that God alone is the sole being in the universe that remains constant.

While I find that argument hard to believe, it is in a religious person's belief that God is the only thing constant in the world, and that new theories emerging bring them closer to understanding God's purpose for humanity in life.

Religion at one time did try to suppress "heretical" thinking because it was dangerous for a small, weak religion to allow itself to schism over tiny issues of interpretations. But times have changed, Christianity is a divided religion that individual sects decide what to believe. That is why today, no christian can believe that ideas don't change as new knowledge is uncovered because once some Christians decide that everyone else are rigid, ignorant idiots, they go off and make their own church.

Religion is not hypocritical because ideas and people change, and so should religion, and frankly that's what all religions do if they want to survive for centuries.

Actually, a better definition of entropy is the amount of information needed to describe a system.

And an even better is the entirely reversible flow of an infinitesmal amount of heat.

Knowledge = biochemical systems in the brain, not the product of belief and trust.

In a sense you are correct, however, you just can't double a persons belief without limit.

Some good approximations were drawn, and that was an interesting definition of God, (but a non-infinite God I might point out) so if you keep going with this you will eventually get some good places, but this is a flawed piece.

Looks like you are wandering into the more philosophical world, friend, and welcome. But always remember - keep checking the answers you get against reality, or you will go far astray.

Cheers,

Um, at the first glance i dont really understand your equation, and after my second glance and close reading i knew what you try to say and it is beyond human IQ. Yes, the problem raise in most of the religion is without the ENTROPY you had mentioned. However only the person who hold such theory can revealed the truth of God existance. The ENTROPY is Inside the HOLY BOOK. But the explanation is far more advance. Im afraid that some of the verses are difficult to interprete.

I'm not sure this answers your question, because I couldn't quite understand what you are saying. However, this is how I would link Entropy and God (God being in a purely spiritual context here; nothing Biblical or religious inferred).

ENTROPY: in the terms of the second law of thermodynamics, this is the irreversible dissipation of energy until a state of equilibrium is reached. As energy equates to mass, this can broadly be understood as applicable to pretty much anything. The process of Entropy should ultimately lead to a state of equilibrium consisting of total disorganization and chaos, with a universe consisting of randomly moving disorganized atoms.

Now our universe, our solar system, our planet, life, individual organisms, etc is plainly organized to an unbelievably high order. This plainly bucks the second law of thermodynamics.

Some people might just call this "nature" or the natural order of things. Others might equate it on a spiritual level with a higher power, or God.

According to our Holy Book; al Quranul Karim ;

1. Who gaves you life when you'll still in your mother's belly ?. He's our God. Because He gave us the Life, He will took it back from us when the time has come...

2. Who creates the whole universe ?. Of course, Allah the Almighty and when the time has come, he'll took it back through the end of the day; Qiamat...

3. Who gaves you prosperity ? Who gaves you disasters ? It's Him. We believed that He own everything and He has the right to do anything according to what He wants and how should it be.

Even if we are ignorant, god is still in control. As men discover god's wonderful creations, we should be more grateful to god for making such a logical and wise world. Even if one day ten thousand years later, man will still struggle to understand god's wisdom. if we could match up to god, then why believe in him?

Shouldn't knowledge equal truth? The things we do know? Something doesn't seem right about your equation.
