Yes I feel proud to be an Indian not because we are copying western culture, but because we are aware that we are copying it.No need to tell that awareness leads to action. You can see the clothes of south Indian people, how they have kept their culture alive. While almost all Indians were foreign invented pant and shirts.
I am against the Mothers Day and other days invented by western culture which are copied in India.Do mothers are treated as a worker rest of 364 days.A country where friends like Shree Krishna and Sudama lived,do they need to symbolise their friendship by Rs.2 bands.I feel pride of my country because we have kept alive 5million old history of Ramayan and Mahabharata still alive. If you read the biographies of Lal Bahadur Shastri,Swami Vivekananda and so on,you will come to know that Indians are different and great in all good things. But unfortunately very little people exist in India who are real Indians.

What do you mean by ' Feel proud to be an Indian'?
Its not a feeling, its a fact! ( For all of us Indians, where ever on the face of Earth we are!).

I am NOT Native American, but my BF is, and I have much to learn about your culture. I am looking forward to it, and I believe that with all that I have seen and all those that I have met, they are some of the most peaceful, people ever. I have many 'Natives' around me, and was quite surprised to learn this recently, but also found it fascinating that there were that many that were so close in my life. And to me, that is a huge compliment, as I feel it shows my Native 'side' (spirit and beliefs) without truly having the 'blood' to be Native (and I certainly hope that does not offend anyone here as that is not my intention!

Grats to all the Natives, and thank you for being some of the most peaceful, intelligent and kind people I know!

One should be proud to be good human being only.

The races, religion, countries divide the people while humanity brings them together. Every person gets a sad feeling to see a disaster on the TV, whether it is tsunami, floods, earth quacks, famine, or wars. Seeing a dead person makes every one sad, while seeing face of a smiling child makes every one happy.

See the beauty around and enjoy, help where ever you can and do not close yourself into limitations of lines drawn by the corrupt politicians.
