ABSOLUTELY NOT! Your religion - while tied to extremists that hurt oiur country very badly, I do not feel the majority of Americans that I have spoken to, believe that Islam or Muslim had anything to do with it, and that it is normally a very peaceful religion. Make no mistake - we ARE angry at the extremists that took so many lives, but we (and I speak for myself here especially) do not hold the masses accountable for the few idiots that took it too far! Practice whatever religion you choose, love and believe in, and if you moved here/are here, then when asked, open your doors to teach the rest of us, what you'd like us to know about your religion that maybe we don't know or would like to understand. Uneducated leads to ignorance and ignorance allows the grouping of one 'group' and calling 'them' bad guys.. this was true for Natives back in the day, Blacks and now Muslims. This is history in many ways repeating itself and WE the Western World need to be educated on what your religion are, and if you are open to it, learning about some of ours, would make us all better educated, without having to reform to one another's belief systems or religions. I don't know dear, just my 2 cents here. Good luck and best wishes!

No,
Sooner or later, the western countries will know the real Islam & the true picture of Muslims, then they will respect them & most of them will become Muslims.
The civilized & educated people of west (USA & Europe) are getting fed-up of the biased media and are now exploring other means to know about Islam & Muslims, for example "Yahoo Q&A"

No
..Regardless of where we live we are entitled to believe in what God or Gods we choose.
And who says Christianity is the way..the Catholic church is known for having very strange leaders in it.
Emperor Constantine ( died 337 ) assassinate his son crispus and then drowning his second wife Fausta in boiling water. He killed his own 2 brother in laws, bled to death several other men and women, and smothered a old monk to death in a well.
He was refused entry into the true mystery's on the grounds of his "animistic nature and carnal lust"
This made his so angry that he destroyed so many temples where the truth of the Mysteries were taught.
The later Christian church canonized this man
And you want the rest of the world to follow Christianity.
There are many religious leaders in this world . peaceful and Honorable men and women and not one of us has the right to force them to believe in what we do..that is their choice.
We are all different yet at the same time we are all "ONE"

That would be sad, to see people change religions just to try and fit in. In fact that's more than sad, it's scary and pathetic if western countries are that self-centered that we only accept people who are the "norm" religion.

No. Assimilation does not mean giving up your religious beliefs.

However, I do believe they should not move to western countries to take advantage of their services and economy if they dislike its culture and society. They should accomodate their new country's culture so that those there don't unnecessarily have to accomodate them.

There is a Boy Scout slogan for not ruining the environment when you are out in the wild: "Tread lightly".

It applies here, too.

No. Changing from one Middle Easter death cult to another makes no real difference. They should study, and apply, the teachings of the Buddha.
