Watch tells time.Time is money. Money is fame. Fame is pride.Pride is ego. Ego is superiority. Such important people keep wrist watch on right wrist. It makes them feel important.

Because most people are right-handed and to check time, you need the hand wearing the watch to be (relatively) free. So, in a situation where one of your hands is at work (including holding/carrying something), typically it will be your right hand and checking time without interrupting your work will be easy because you can just flip your left hand (which is "free" in this situation)...
It's only convention in favour of convenience... nothing psychological...

Most people are right handed and therefore they use their right hand more than their left. They put their watch on their left wrist to avoid damaging the watch.

I believe the custom is to wear it on your left wrist if you’re right-handed and to wear it on your right if you’re left-handed. It makes sense when you’re adjusting flywheels and throwing lariats. Also, if you’re a righty and your watch is on the left, it’s going to be easier to set and fiddle with all the small buttons and such.
