The only way you will know for sure is if you shut yourself away a lot of the time, or sit amongst nature by yourself and pray earnestly that God would show you. If you only pray for 5 minutes a day or round about you will hardly get to know God and His will for you. The more time you spend with God the more you will understand what purpose he has for you to fulfill. Act 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Hey brother you've got to really pray, look at the situation you're in and see how what your doin conflicts with God's Word. God doesn't want everyone to save the world, but perhaps you can start by saving those in your direct family, then friends, neighbours, indirect family, workplace etc.
If every Christian did this to the best of his/her ability Jesus would have come already.

You know your purpose when It feels right in your heart when you do it. If you do something and you feel like, "this is where i'm supposed to be, this is what i'm supposed to be doing" and everything feels right, warm, and comfortable about it to you, and you feel happy and more complete than before, Chances are you've found it.

You just have to live your own life. Don't get caught up in "what am I supposed to do with it" because you'll end up missing it.
