Probably the best way to start is by buying a book with audio pronunciation. Then, after learning the alphabet, basic words, pronunciation, and writing, learn where your weak spots are. Is it writing, reading, speaking, listening? Pinpoint those weak areas and work on them (for example, if it's reading, check out some Korean books at your local library, if it's speaking, find a Korean conversational partner, etc etc).
You could also watch Korean dramas, I heard that's also helpful.
