yes insects bit dogs the same as every other mammal on the planet...... Sounds like your dog has fleas.... I'm guessing that since you don't know about Fleas then you haven't thought about worms either (usually the two go together), You can get powers and collars from pet stores for fleas, but I would suggest a monthly spot type treatment like Front line, or if you don't have your dog wormed either then Stronghold will also help you with all bar one common worm. I strongly recomend you take your dog to a vet and get some advice on fleas and worms so that he can be a happy pup all the time

Sounds like flea bites. Ask your vet about something you can put on the bites and about something that repels fleas and other biting insects.
You could try tea tree oil on the bites. It takes the itch away. Put a few drops in water an apply it with a sponge.

Yes they can.
The best thing is to clean the bite with rubbing alcohol so it won't get infected, and put Vaseline on it to ease the itch. Reapply it until it's healed. Then keep a close eye on it.
If you're worried though you should take your dog to the vet. For example, if it's a bee sting then the poor dog can have a nasty reaction.
Just be vigilent though, and it shouldn't bee too much of a problem.

yes of course he can, dogs can get bit just as humans can, I'd get to the vet and ask for something, or put zinc cream on him. Like the stuff you put on babies for nappy rash, that should sooth any irritation.
