-unfortunate to sitting at the bus stop at 12:30pm in Phoenix,sweating profusely for about a 1/2 hr.-no shade,and it's BEATING down, compared to 10 minutes of vigorous activity , which do you think really would drop more calories? Are they equal? Your thoughts please...

as far as i knew, oxygen is the primary burner of calories/fats..
its in the end of exercise that u burn calories because u breath heavily..so u take in oxygen in your system...the sweating thing will just be secondary on burning up calories....

so i think..it will be more effective in engaging in a vigorous activity than sittin and sweating..........

Despite sweating profusely, calories are not being burned at a particularly high rate by simply sitting down. It is likely that 10 minutes of vigorous activity or exercise would burn more calories. Which one is more uncomfortable is another question ...

In my opinion sitting and sweating is out...and exercising is in...but I'm not a active person...typing and cleaning house is as active as I get...lol....If you exercise with vigor you are most likely going to be losing weight all over your body and toning your muscles..but if you sit you are losing fluids...suggestion...get out of Arizona...come to Florida and sweat here...it's HOT here too....lol

Working for ten minutes will drop more calorie than sitting at the bus stop. b'coz trhere u may develop negative emoptions also but in working urself u will have only positive emotions.

sitting in a steam room burns calories, so sitting in the freaking hot sun in AZ I think would do the same. Some movement would probably burn more, but seriously, yo. not much. Have you considered eating less? perhaps something with soy or seaweed?

No sweating does not burn hardly enough calories. Sweating is our body's way of cooling us off.
