Yes. Fine lead-crystal glasses react with the wine causing you to ingest lead. I don't know how often you'd need to drink from your crystal for it to impact your health, but why not just buy some cheap glasses for every day use?

no i have never heard of that and thats all i have in my china cabinet is crystal wine glasses and goblets some have gold leafing on it and some dont i suppose the ones that have the gold on it could at some point give you lead poisioning i dont know what is in the gold all i know is the gold isnt real

so don't drink wine if the glass is washed in a dishwasher it is okay cuz this sterilizes it

Well, unless the wine has lead in it, no. but you should wash dishes in hot water, to burn off germs. DIE, GERMS, DIE!!
